There are thousands of drug rehabs in the country, but only a small handful of them are non 12-step, or in other words not based on the program of Alcoholics Anonymous.

The AA program was created in 1935 and has not changed since, which means that drug rehabs that offer this approach have not changed much either.

Why do so many rehabs use this model?

Why don’t they come up with something new?

The non-12 Step paradigm has changed the treatment method and pioneered many new concepts and blazed new trails of thinking that are literally changing the face of addiction treatment the world over.

A program like the one offered by a non-12step can only exist where one-on-one treatment is the backbone and mainstay of the facility's program. No other substance abuse treatment program offers this many services or in-depth understanding of addiction treatment.
